Miles Davis meets David Crosby

Miles Davis meets David Crosby—full page illustration for Road & Track Magazine.
Big thanks to @cassidyzobl!
David Crosby was standing in front of the Village Gate, a night club on the corner of Thompson and Bleecker Streets in Greenwich Village, one cold winter day, when he saw a diminutive figure with an etched face approach him. The guy said in a raspy voice, “You Crosby?”

Illustrations for Road & Track
Sweet illustration job for Road & Track magazine—with big thanks to Cassidy Zobl.
This issue is themed ‘handmade’, and the idea was to create illustrations which depicted the two cars as if captured in a sketchbook. Everything was indeed handmade but some extra splashes and marks, and that fold down the middle of the page in the first one, were added digitally.
