Ink, pen, pencil, coloured pencil sketch of Reykjavik from the hotel on Rauðarárstígur.
Quick pub sketch
Quick sketch in a pub in Terherne. This guy pretty much demanded that I draw him. I didn’t mind. I like a challenge. Done in pencil and gel pen in the front of his friend’s poetry book.
Two women
Two quick sketches from the Language Cafe in Leeuwarden the other day. Pencil, gel pen, coloured pencil, dried-out Pentel brush pen.
A man called “Allen”
Quick one of a man called Allen in the pub last night.
Gel pen, coloured pencil and graphite smudges.
Things on the fridge
Things on top of the fridge. This was one of the first attempts for an idea of random still life drawings. The unplanned, random arrangements of things as they appear on various surfaces around the home. For some reason there always seems to be a pair of pliers in there. Drawn in ink, gel pen, pencil and colour pencil.
Hands
Koepeltheater
Pencil, gel pen and graphite sketch of Camerata RCO at Koepeltheater, Leeuwarden.
Plant
Engelum
Testing out a new sketchbook in Engelum, which is near Leeuwarden. The sketchbook seems to work just fine. Drawn with grey ink and pencil.
Somerset drug dealers
This image was based upon a real police handout showing convicted drug dealers in Somerset in the UK. The range of faces fascinated me.
It was also my first real attempt using the very-impressive Kyle brushes, which are the best digital brushes I’ve used. The ones that come with Photoshop are OK, but these are really pleasurable to use.
