Plants outside my house, by the wheelie bin, and out on the road. Drawn with ballpoint pen and isopropanol, pencil, colour pencil, gel pen, silver crayon and bamboo dip pen.
Noud
Drawing of Noud, who was at the Creatievelingen samenwerkingen meetup last night in Leeuwarden. A really quick drawing.
Lunch at Stania State today
Sketch over a bite to eat at Stania State in North Friesland today. Nice.
St Jacobiparochie
Sketch of St Jacobiparochie from Oudebildtdijk. This is the view from the front of my house. Drawn and painted in ink, pencil, colour pencil, graphite, and gel pen.
Sketches at NDSM
Two drawings at NDSM yesterday. Testing out a new sketchbook with Katsia.
Sketching at NDSM
Sketching at NDSM on Saturday with the Amsterdam Urban Sketchers. I realised just how rusty I’ve got at sketching. When I lived in Amsterdam, I wouldn’t think twice about whipping the sketchbook out.
Oudebildtdijk
A print of Westhoek at 15×7″ on its way from Etsy to Alicia in Washington. (Thank you Alicia.) Printed on 230gsm Olmec fine art paper by King of Herrings @kingherrings.
Painted in ink, plus pencil and black biro. This is the view of the Oudebildtdijk from the sea dike at Westhoek. No one who isn’t Dutch can actually pronounce “Oudebildtdijk”. It’s impossible. But apparently it’s the longest street in the Netherlands, and where I live.
Plants and trees
A collection of drawings on Behance
Somewhere in Groningen
Somewhere in Groningen from yesterday’s sketchcrawl with the Urban Sketchers Netherlands. It was pretty cold, so I didn’t sketch or crawl too much. But me and Gail found a sweet spot in a cafe, and I drew this from the window.
Quando quando quando
Pencil and graphite drawing in the late fading afternoon.
